Fast boats depart from Sanur Beach Harbour (southeast Bali) to Toyapakeh or Banjar Nyuh port on Nusa Penida — approximately 30–45 minutes, fares from ~100,000–200,000 IDR (~$6–12 USD) one way. Departures from early morning (~07:00) through early afternoon (~14:00); return boats from Nusa Penida until around 17:00. Multiple operators (Maruti Express, Angel Billabong Cruise, and others) run throughout the day — no need to book far ahead except in peak season. From Sanur, Grab to the harbour takes ~20–30 minutes from Kuta/Seminyak.

Day Trip vs Overnight Stay
Nusa Penida\’s main sights (Kelingking, Angel\’s Billabong, Broken Beach, Crystal Bay) are spread across the island and require a full day to see properly — ideally with a scooter or hired driver (~300,000–450,000 IDR/day for a driver with vehicle). Day trips from Bali are possible but rushed. Staying 1–2 nights is strongly recommended — you get sunrise at Kelingking, manta ray snorkeling at Crystal Bay in the morning (when mantas are most active), and the island feels completely different without the day-trip crowds.
ℹ️ Nusa Penida roads are steep, narrow, and rough in parts — not suitable for inexperienced motorbike riders. Hire a driver with a vehicle if you\’re not confident riding a scooter on steep hills. The west side (Kelingking, Angel\’s Billabong) and east side (Atuh Beach, Diamond Beach) require separate full-day trips.
